Metifex comprises a group of highly experienced personnel with background and proven capability in mining operations, engineering, and project delivery fields. Seit Meka Seit has over 25 years experience in engineering, design, construction, project management, owner / client representation, maintenance, operation of process and metallurgical plant in Australia, Asia, Africa, North America and Europe. Seit was a part owner and Engineering Manager of Ausenco Limited before moving on to establish Metifex in 2006, having worked in gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc, alumina, pulp fibre cement, mineral sands, and fertilizer industries.
Stuart Smith Stuart is a process engineer having in excess of 25 years experience in engineering design, plant commissioning, plant operations, all levels of study management/process design and has also held various senior line management positions, having worked in Australia, Asia, Africa, North and South America, and Europe. Stuart specialises in gold and silver metallurgy, and is familiar with numerous mineral processing and hydrometallurgical processes having worked in the base metal industry, various chemical facilities, specialist copper processing, refining (copper gold and silver), mine backfill and alluvial/gravity processing.
Brad Cook As an industry professional of 30 years Brad’s career spans a range of project management, project control and commercial roles based in Australia, Asia, Africa and Europe. His experience extends across operational, management and executive levels delivering projects in the gold, copper, coal, base metal and chemical manufacturing industries including infrastructure development.
Kirit Chauhan is a mechanical / mining engineer with over 13 years experience in design, procurement, manufacture, construction, project management, and owner representation of mining, infrastructure and process plants. Kirit has worked on fabrication and construction roles in various countries including Australia, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Spain, Thailand and Zambia. Projects include the Wahgnion Gold Project, Grande Cote Mineral Sands Project, Lumwana Copper Project, Snapper Mineral Sands Project, and Sabodala Gold Project.
Ian Harmsworth Ian is a mechanical engineer, highly experienced in heavy industry and minerals processing.With 30 years experience through Australia, Asia, North America and Europe, Ian has a multi-discipline background, primarily in design and design management, although he has also performed various other roles including construction and commissioning. Ians experience has largely focussed on the process engineering aspects of minerals processing plants (coal, gold, base metals, alumina), he also has a strong interest and understanding of electrics and controls associated with minerals processing plants.
Bill Hogg Bill has over 35 years experience in the mining and engineering industries. A mechanical engineer by profession, Bills career has included roles in engineering, construction management and project management for operating companies, contractors and engineering groups.He has worked in the lead/zinc, copper, gold and bauxite industries with significant involvement in projects in Asia, Europe and South America, as well as Australia.
Jason Saint Jason has more than 15 years experience in civil design and infrastructure construction, and is based in the UK. A civil engineer by profession, Jasons experience is primarily in large civil infrastructure projects with roles in both engineering and construction management for contractors and owners in Australia and Europe. Projects include large infrastructure (Heathrow T5, King Cross/ St Pancras Station) as well as gold mining and minerals processing development.
Mark Rankin Mark has over 20 years experience in conceptual layout through to detail of both study and project work in Australia, Asia, Africa and Europe. This includes precious metals, base metals, coal, phosphate, acid handling and mineral sands. Marks experience includes substantial local and overseas site based roles supporting construction, commissioning and operations
Andrew Burford Andrew is a mechanical engineer with over 30 years experience in the gold, base metals, mineral sands, coal and chemical production sectors. His areas of expertise include client technical representation, scoping, audit, design review and study monitoring, all based on an extensive background in detailed mechanical and piping design, equipment specification and selection, design management, field engineering and commissioning.Andrew has worked on a variety of minerals projects in Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe, North America and South America.
